Great photo, ybonesy. The haiku, too. It’s true about coming home from our travels. The photograph is so clear and layered. So many shades of blue and gray. I like how you can see the land below through the clouds – and yet, it looks like a giant body of water.

Thanks, QM. Yes, the cloud cover was alluring, enough so I decided to snap it with a better camera than my cell phone.
The flight was 1 hour-45 mins on the way there, 1 hour-50 minutes on the way home. Yet, it seemed like the way home was short, short. Like boom, we were home. Smooth flight, too. And boy, were we tired!

yb, I agree with QM. Great photo & the haiku is so true! When I drive to W. PA to visit with my family, the drive there seems to take forever, but the drive home is just the opposite. I hope that you & your family had a great trip & yes, exhale now. You deserve it! D

alittlediddy, no greater feeling of freedom, in my opinion, than leaving for a road trip. I especially like the long ones, with no specific itinerary except, say, “get to Wyoming within about a week.” And the drive home always seems melancholy, especially when you hit the highway and lose all the scenic stuff.
Thanks for commenting, and thank you, too, Heather.
