Minneapolis has history hidden in the details. Many of the historical buildings are gone but small pieces remain. The camera lens lets you see into a world that might go otherwise unnoticed. This clock caught my eye as we were driving around in the rain taking photos. What a neat find. Plus digging through the old photos makes me want to go exploring for more unique pieces of our past.

Hi, What an elegant clock, and great photo. It looks rather “Art Deco,” like it might have been designed in the 1930’s. Do you know when it was made? Since it is lighted and looks like it is well cared for, is it still in working order?
I know I’m going to enjoy the “Archive 365 set!”

oliverowl, the Soo Line was created in October 1949. The clock may have copied the “Art Deco” style which was on the decline in the 1940s. Still it’s a cool clock and a bit of railroad history.
