February breaks at midnight—
should be packing for a retreat.

can’t take its mind off the car wash.

I washed my car in prep for Lake Michigan, too. Leaving all that salt on the car for six days rubs us both the wrong way, eh? Get some sleep tonight!

So funny. Your poems are better and better all the time. I really enjoy them. Have you thought of making up a collection and turning it into a little book?

I’ll try to get some sleep, Teri. Not likely though! The miles and miles I put on the truck were looking so dirty. Couldn’t leave it like that!

Jude, coming from a poet such as yourself, your words are so encouraging. Thank you. I will consider it. Maybe we can chat about it more in a few hours. Would be interested to hear what you think next steps might be. The friendly skies in the near future.

QM, Your poem does exactly what it should, (and what I like about haiku, renga, etc.) that is, it distills into a minimum of words the maximum of an experience!
And, your photography is, as always, amazing!
Vaya con Dios and enjoy the retreat.

Robin, thank you. Just back late last night. Has taken a bit to integrate back into life again. Things move too fast for me. My wish is to keep slowing myself down enough to listen to what living on this Earth is really trying to tell me. I sat in my home today, quiet and slow. Everything bustles all around me. Hello to the pond near you and the season wistfully turning.

Norm, thank you for coming back to the car wash with me. You brought me back to this photo again. It’s a good self-portrait of the way I felt this week. 😎 I was at the car wash on Friday, the kind where you can view your car being washed through a window (a series of windows). There is something very satisfying about car washes. Hope you are well.
