Thanks, Jude. Happy July 4th weekend. Hope it’s a great one in Wisconsin. We are heading to the Casket Arts Studio shortly. I hope to take refuge in some art. 8)

Happy fourth to you and Liz, too. It’s hot here but so welcome after the many weeks of cold rain. I am taking refuge in my writing room.

Ah! Finally got a chance to visit here! 🙂 It’s been so crazy these past several weeks. I’m trying to catch up with everything! I got 2 more BB52 to do and I’m all set and caught up (which does not include other writing/art projects I’ve been working on as well)! Whew! I know when nursing school starts back up in August, I’m going to have to limit myself to at least one project for a long period of time, or otherwise I’d get overwhelmed.
I love the response to the haiga, QM! 🙂 I wish I’d been there! I know that I would’ve definitely enjoyed the installation myself. Just seeing your photo reminds me that I’m long overdue to go and visit some type of art museum or some type of art installation at a local venue. It’s been over a year for me, and I miss going to one. 🙂
Always a wonderful thing to stop by and visit red Ravine! 🙂 ❤ ❤ Blessings! I hope your 4th of July was enjoyable!

Bob, thanks. Me, too. I wish you could see this installation. I’ve been wanting to visit it again before it leaves for good. But I don’t know if I’m going to make it back down to the river in St. Paul or not. Possible plans to see Scattered Light again tomorrow night. We shall see. Thanks for stopping.
Lotus, my July 4th was relaxing. I needed some downtime. I know what you mean about having too many projects going. I try to limit myself to only a few practices each year. And even then, it’s hard to keep up. I fluctuate between writing and art. A friend recently told me that often during the times when I say I don’t feel like a writer anymore, I’m focusing on my art. It was actually good to hear her say that. Seeing through someone else’s eyes.
I find museums and art events to be very inspiring. Sometimes it’s hard to get out to them, but I always love it when I do. Thanks for stopping by. Much appreciated.

Thanks, Roma. It’s an amazing art installation. I heard that this will be the last installation of this piece by Jim Campbell. I think he is retiring it after this St. Paul run. I kind of wish I had been there when they installed it. I bet it took a lot of work with all those light bulbs and the frame. It truly is magical. Kind of like stepping through stars but you are on solid ground.

Oh, wanted to mention one other thing — it was hard to photograph with a Point-and-Shot Canon (which is what I was using). I couldn’t get the detail of the overall distance shot. Liz got some good shots with her Olympus SLR. From a distance, it was a wall of dots of light. And Jim had projected images across the wall of light. Shadow figures walking. Really pretty cool.
