That is so odd and curious isn’t it, “spider growing in face” – what could it mean? A tattoo? Insect invasion? Your doodle is great. Did you happen to see the David Hockney cover of the New Yorker – it is a bowl with a spoon, but the surprising thing is it was drawn on an ipad!! I am impressed with the depth/dimension of the media, color and light. Looks like you had some fun with spider-face.

I wondered if someone was perhaps looking for the type of spider that looks like it has a face inside of it…the monkey-faced (aka the cat-faced) orb spider that Jim once found when he was cleaning out one of our sheds. I wrote about that in the post–and included some freaky pics–in the post monkey face haiku [LINK].

lil, btw, I did go see the iPad drawing. Very cool.
Thanks, Robin. If you remember what it reminded you of, please let me know. Maybe you hold the key to the mystery. (Does a type of spider grow on one’s face? BTW, I have heard something, probably from Heather–who’s not yet commented–that we will in our lifetimes eat 8 spiders just from having them walk across our faces and fall into our open mouths. Well, I don’t know if I’m remembering the statistic correctly, but that’s the gist.) 8)

yb, that’s so strange — eating 8 spiders in our lifetime? Creepy. (I know I’ve eating tons of mosquitoes in my lifetime though, just from canoe trips alone.) I run into spider webs all the time when I walk from the house, across the deck, to the car. I can’t figure out what they are connected to — the trees above? I have no idea. We have this giant wolf-like looking spider that’s made a home in a board on the side of our home. A place I think a woodpecker chunked out. Scared me to death when I was washing out the gutters this year. Spiders really know how to find a good home.
