bright Winter Solstice
Our Lady of Guadalupe
burns at the center
Post Script: Last night we broke bread at a Winter Solstice celebration with friends. Bear made an appearance; we burned last year’s Yule Tree. At the end of the drumming, a Great Horned Owl called out from over the pond through the silence. Last night was the first time people walked the labyrinth our friends created in their front yard over this year’s Spring and Summer months. It was a beautiful Winter evening. In the days before Solstice, they shoveled snow from the path; the way through the cairns was clear. What we didn’t know until we arrived was that Our Lady of Guadalupe glowed at the center. I’ll write more about the creation of their labyrinth in future posts.

I am so glad for you and your friends. Peace dwell in your post. It reports the joy of going through the labyrinth. Everything looks so simple and naturally and the above warms my heart.
However the message not only warmed me. It freeze me too because while reading your post I visualized myself … I saw myself not among you, but at my window. My fingers were cold and the thoughts dark … Sorry for such news, but after searching my purse, it became the obvious that my abilities to purchase anything were zero – I myself was zero because I didn’t greet anybody, but was thinking about my impotency to purchase any gift to anybody. Thus while thinking about the Lady of Guadalupe, I faced my personal unworthiness of love the people celebrate currently. These news were much harder than grieve for my bodily weakness. Can the disablers to write? Have I the right to blog? Why do I live till now? My diary spots everything I just approach… Sorry for that truth

I can’t wait to hear more about the making of the labyrinth, QM. What a generous thing to do–to make this place for friends to come.
Loved seeing the Virgen. She burns brightly.

I am looking forward to celebrating Winter Solstice 2010 with friends this evening. One thing I want to do before I leave their tonight is to walk their labyrinth in the snow. They created a beautiful labyrinth in their front yard last year. I’ve walked it several times.
Last year at Winter Solstice, we heard a Great Horned Owl. This year, I hear they have coyotes on the lake. We are hoping we might hear their cries tonight. Even if their voices are not there, their presence will be. Coyote Medicine. Look out for the Trickster.
