I keep staring at this photo trying to figure out where it is, but I can’t place a finger. And then I thought, maybe it’s not on the Mabel Dodge Luhan property. Is it?

No, not at Mabel Dodge’s. This one was taken on a walk through Taos. I can’t remember the name of the store. It was not in the plaza either, but is not far from there. There were some large singing bowls there that the owner had humming. And I wish I could have afforded a Buddha for my garden.

I just watched your photo slideshow! I am fond of them all, but particularly the one with the GAP model facing the street and the man walking away. I thought the man looked like he better things to do than think about fashion.

Sinclair, I love that shot! It’s one of the only shots I have posted with people in it (though I do take a lot of people shots, too).
I remember the day I took it. It was a slushy, snowy day and I had met a client at Peter’s Grill for lunch. I snapped (they don’t call it snap anymore, do they?) photos on the walk back to the parking lot. It’s the same lot that probably is no longer there, since they are putting the new Twins stadium there.
That’s what I love about photographs. I can remember everything surrounding each one I take.
You know, that man had a lot better things to do that day! I liked his look. It was taken across the street from Mary Tyler Moore’s boots.

And here’s another great thing…the big word ENAMORED boasts that everyone will be pulled in by Penelope’s stare and the red shirts. The man walks in the opposite direction. Anything but enamored.
