I’ve started Lady Chatterly’s Lover tonight. The unabridged version…obviously. Juicy. D.H. *was* the bad boy, wasn’t he?

Teri, how long is that book? I was surprised to find that an old colleague of mine from my healthcare days loved D. H. Lawrence. I didn’t find out until after the fact, a conversation over a reunion dinner. I’ll never forget visiting some of his banned paintings in Taos Plaza. I think I commented on it once on red Ravine. Keep us posted on Lady Chatterly. I can’t remember the details. I admire how you keep reading the classics!

Teri, after Lady Chatterly has teased your eyes, try Women in Love…the movie was gorgeous, the book was better. That D.H. Lawrence doesn’t jive with the one who was so prudish he painted the second floor windows at Mabel’s house so no one could see in while he bathed.

Lady C. is 280 pages long. I’m on Chapter Three. Fabulous writing.
I agree, Bob. The women and men in this book would have no interest in privacy painting while they bathe. I wonder if Lady C. was made into a movie? Thanks for the tip about Women in love.

yes, Teri, at least a couple of movies have been made about the infamous Lady C. Sounds like almost all of them accentuate the sexual nature of Lady C. more than the whole story.
Women in Love was made into a beautiful movie.
