wet snow and brown leaves
chase the budding potential
rivers through gutters

The ice on the trees the morning this picture was taken was amazing. Despite the fact that I’m dying for the snow to melt, to put my mittens and wool coat away for months, and rollerblade on State Trails—it was sensational. I thought of you, QM, and accurately predicted you would be out with your camera.

R3, nice leap in that one. Thoughtful haiku. I’m think of you and send good energy – every day.
Teri, it was an amazing morning. Beautiful here. And even though I’m a Winter lover, I am secretly ready for Spring. Bring on the sun! 8) (note motorcycle sunglasses)

last vestiges of fall
tightly hold icy branches
faded vision of fall color
leafy curls crumble
under the weight of water
float off in the wind
snow flurry blowing
between winter and springtime
through March twilight sky
snowy branches grab
the vestige of last year’s leaves
and cry “don’t leaf us!”
jealousy prevails
proud branches shaking hardy leaves
earth devours their lost friends
oliverowl,
I love your punny sense of humor.
