Great drawing – kind of makes me think of this chap as a flounder. G
I wanted him to be one of those kind where you push a button and it sings ; – ).
LOL! I was going to ask if it sings.
I agree with suburbanlife. It is a great drawing.
Thanks, Robin. I am trying to think what snappy little tune it would sing if it did sing. I’m drawing a blank.
cryptic and yet communicative…
Bravo.
Your art is taking a turn towards the surreal, no?
Si.
BTW, tiv, your “no?” at the end of a sentence is a very New Mexico thing to do. Or we say, “que no?” I guess when I moved to Spain, I dropped the que from the no. Que si.
Oye, I was just noticing that Alberto Gonzales looks a lot like my aunt Olivia. And guess what? She’s Republican. I’m just saying, not to anyone in particular.
LOL. 8) Does Aunt Olivia read red Ravine?
Hombre, no way! And now I’m going to make sure not to ever tell my cousin Miguel about the blog either.
Hey, is he the shaman you did the drawing of? Or do I have it confused.
Hey, QM, I’m cleaning up some old posts and just realized that I never answered this question. My cousin Miguel is and isn’t the shaman. The reference to that shaman did come to me since I do have a cousin Miguel, yet the my cousin isn’t really a shaman, plus he looks nothing like the one in that drawing. Complex answer — probably why I didn’t attempt it before ; – ).
ybonesy, ah, no wonder you never answered. Very complex. 8)
You don’t hear much about him (Gonzales) anymore. I guess the snappy tune he sang was his swan song?
Well, then I just saw a blurb on Wiki. I guess he’s not in too bad a shape, eh? Still seems to be some oxygen out there:
QM, I saw an article in the NYT on Sunday (April 13) about how he’s not been able to get work. The headline: In Searching for New Jobs, Gonzales Sees No Takers (LINK).
Oh, now that I read the article, it pretty much says the same thing as the Wiki excerpt.
Also, now looking at the article, I realize I should have given him higher hair (smile).
8) You’re right…maybe you were being influenced by Aunt Olivia. Does he really look like your aunt (comment #9)? Or were you pulling our leg. Thanks for the link. Sounds like it’s been hard for him to get on with the career life – though the income is still holding. You hear that a lot about such public people. So many in the Nixon administration went on to make tons of money after Watergate. Not that I’m comparing. But, you know what I mean.
Yes, it’s true. He has resemblences to my dad’s side of the family. At the very least, he could be a cousin 8) .
