QuoinMonkey has been sick since the wee hours of Monday morning. Bless her heart. I’m traveling right now, and I wanted to see if I had a doodle stored in my computer that might be a good omen for her to get better. Alas, I had nothing. Well, except for an apple shot I took on Monday evening.
Sorry, QM, it’s not very get-well-oriented, but at least it’s an apple, and you know what they say about apples. Unfortunately, it’s out of focus, but I feel a bit that way myself when you’re out of sorts. So, get well, my friend. There are things-on-sticks awaiting your tastebuds.

Awww, how sweet, ybonesy! I hope it does the trick!
Ok, I haven’t been in blog world for a few days…
But if QM is sick…
I’m betting it was that stick food…right?
It was the macaroni and cheese, wasn’t it!
Don’t tell me you ate the stick!
Get well QM!!
ybonesy, thanks for this post. So glad to be thought of when I’m not feeling well. And you know the last thing I want to do when I’m sick is sit in front of a computer. I appreciate your well wishes. 8)
Thanks everyone! No, I haven’t even made it to the Fair yet! I’ve been under the weather and hardly eating anything since the a.m. hours of Monday morning.
But, not to fear, I am on my feet again today and scheduled for the Fair tomorrow. I told Liz, I don’t know about the SPAM curds. But maybe I can muster a milkshake from the Dairy barn and a corndog (my favorites). The rest of the on-the-stick foods, I might just have to settle for a photograph!
QM – glad to hear you are on the mend. Am looking forward to some interesting reprtage on those things-on-sticks, which by the way is a brilliant way to get around a lot of wrapping and containers thrown away at the fair. Stay well and enjoy! G
Thanks, G., and I hadn’t thought of the ecological end of things on-a-stick. Yes, it sure does cut down on all that extra packaging. I like to think about it that way. Thanks!
BTW, one of the news channels at the Fair, I think it’s WCCO, is running its broadcast from the Fairgrounds with human powered energy. They have these bicycles hooked up and have people pedal them all day. When it’s time for the news each night, enough energy is stored to run the whole broadcast. I thought that was kind of cool.
do get well soon, we gotta see that royal court carved outta butter.
Thanks, amuirin. I’m feeling better today and on my way to the Fair this afternoon. Don’t know how much I’ll eat. But I’ll definitely have my camera!
