Mr. McGoo Trivia: The composers Bob Merrill and Jule Styne offered a song entitled “People” for the score but the animation had already been completed and it was too late to include it. Instead they added it to the score of a Broadway musical they were writing called “Funny Girl”, where it became the first of many hits for the star, Barbra Streisand.
